Google Earth tends to have some of the best satellite imagery I can find and view on a PC. I am hunting Co Unit 79 this upcoming first rifle and want to do some virtual scouting. Does anyone know if/where we can download shapefiles of the game units from some source on the internet? I have the units on Gaia and OnXHunt but like I said, I wanted to use a little more detailed mapping software.

Thanks. Worst case scenario, I'll just do a rough outline for tracks.

Go to TopRut. They let you download the KML of the boundary along with public land, wilderness, roads, burns.
It sends you a zip file to your email and makes using Google Earth really slick

Thanks. I used TopRut when I was Looking at odds but didn’t spend a ton of time on there. Great information, much appreciated.

I have been trying to figure out how to import GMU for CO and this is exactly what I needed, thanks for the info! Has anyone figured out how to make the units display the unit number like they do on OnX? If you click on each unit they do but wondering if there's a way to have them labeled for quicker access at a larger scale.
