I've got my game plan for this year. I think I can get a first rifle tag for the unit I want in the secondary draw. If not I'll go that unit in second rifle. I've bivy hunted Colorado and Idaho a few times but always in archery. In a group and solo. This will be my first time in rifle and I absolutely do not want to truck camp where I'm planning on hunting. I'll have a buddy with me this time and I'm debating buying a seek tipi. In your guys opinion is it worth the extra $ investment and pack in weight vs bivy camping? I've done single digits in archery without issue but measurable snow mixed with cold might really be a game changer.

That rifle season can epic great fall weather or straight up winter. I would really want more shelter than a bivy bag. At the very least, a large tarp to bivy under.

this was second rifle last year.

You can haul calories to stay warm.....or add 3 pounds to your pack and love life.

Nothing like a hot tent in the late season to both warm the spirits and to keep you out where you want to be..,.go hot tent👍
