Colorado 70 2nd season mule deer pointers

Me and my dad drew tags in unit 70 this year and was wondering if anyone on here was familiar with that unit and wanted to dish out any pointers. We obviously studied the unit fairly hard before applying and thought it looked promising. I’ve hunted 30,40 and 74 in the past and have hunted the ghostly western Washington blacktail my entire life. Our bread and butter is hiking and glassing vantage points. Not looking for anyone’s tied up buck, just maybe a good starting point or other useful info. Thanks in advance and feel free to PM me!

It’ll prob be a tough hunt. What area are you hunting?

Looks like we will be starting off on the east end of the unit. Don’t especially wanna put exact locations on here but did get some good info and ideas from the conservation officer. Really nice guy.

Lazzwarbird, I’m curious how your experience in 70 was. It is on my list of possible options for third season mule deer. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Trying to decide where to put my points. Plenty of public, good access and success.
