Anyone have experience in units 43 or 47 for chasing velvet bucks in the high country? Would like to hear your thoughts or stories from there. I have been doing lots of research for units that wont take 5 years to draw and I've found a handful of these spots to scout in the upcoming summer/fall. Have been on OTC archery elk trips and been very successful this far so I know what back country hunting is, I know what Colorado is like. next goal is to chase high country bucks and would like to hear you input.

Thanks

Steep terrain, crowded trailheads, over-hunted bucks in 43 the last few years, after some media attention. Hunting this unit for the first time is especially tough sledding in dry years like this.
