Looking into building up a Colorado Legal Muzzy. Open to ideas. I drew a good Elk tag. Thinking about running a Williams peep, BH209, CCI primers, 250 grain Thor bullets. Just cant decide on a Muzzleloader. I was looking at a CVA accura MR or PR. also a Traditions StrikerFire Back Country. I will be hunting is some serious tough country, but want an accurate rifle. Anyone have good accuracy with these combos? Any help is appreciated!!

T/C and CVA both make great shooting muzzleloaders. I run Thor 300gr bullets in both my Encore and Accura with Blackhorn powder and they both shoot under an inch group. Plus on elk they work as expected. Here is a public land bull my 71 year old dad took last year. He was the last one to tag out but as the saying goes save the best till last.

I’ve been looking at the CVA Plains Rifle but I am in WA. Does the peep sight setup work well? I’ve heard it’s hard to get your head low enough with the stock barrel configuration.

Thanks,
Ben
