Agreed above with the chains. I’d also say a warm dry place at night to dry your boots and clothes. Try to grab a deer tag in whatever unit you are hunting as well. Filing your tag is doable. Just work harder than everyone else.
Planning to be there for 3rd season. My first time but consistent advice from those more experienced: 1) Get in great shape, 2) expect and be prepared for a wide range of weather, 3) have good boots, 4) layer clothes , and 5) be able to hit what, you shoot at. Best of luck - let us know how you do.
I like to have a couple extra pairs of boots in the truck. Not only for a major change in the conditions but if one pair gets wet it's nice to be able to rotate.
