Colorado Unit 481 Tips?

Hi everybody. I put in for unit 481 for the elk archery season this fall. I have never hunted this unit but have spent time hiking in the area. I know it gets a lot of 14er traffic. Does anybody have any tips for the September archery season in 481?

That is some steep and high elevation country. Get in shape and then train harder. The ability to cover lots of country in steep country is important.

I think you need to keep looking for more resources. He treated Rokslide like the Tinder of hunting forums, and didn't even wipe his tinkle off the toilet seat before he left.

481 is garbage. It's a thing of the past once guys realized the data in Eastman's wasn't what they led them to believe. As heavily hiked as anywhere in the state and a lackluster elk/deer population to say the least.
