Colorado Unit 521

Been a few years since I have been in that area! Lots of memories from hunting in that country...

I too will be in 521 for 2nd season. This will be my first time but my sons has been hunting 62 and just wants a fresh unit. We have done as much via the net as possible and called F&G planners numerous times. Have ordered topo maps ,county maps,forest and satelite maps. We will be driving in and making camp,will not be using any atv's. We have chosen the area around Overland and Dogfish Reservoirs. So my questions are where the best access roads would be to this area? Paonia or Bowie? Also I know allot is based on weather and snow conditions and are planning on targeting the 9000 to 11000ft area. Should we go higher or lower? I absolutely do not want anyones spots we will figure that our ourselves just some general info. Thanks
