Colorado Units 77 and 78

As an FYI, They've met 75%+ of their objectives but that does not equal containment. For example, they cut a few paths and did structure protection in the valley for Bear Creek but they didn't contain the actual fire since the terrain is so challenging Attached the example from a few weeks ago, hope it helps.

All that to say, I'm heading up to these units on the 21st! Anyone else going around that time frame?

how did you hunt the other day go? any luck? how was smoke? From what I see online it looks like most of the fires are 75% or more contained.

Hunt went great! Fire was far enough away that we didn’t even notice it. Could see smoke off in the distance on the drive in but no sight/smell ~15mi south of them. Saw elk, bear & deer; they didn’t seem phased either.
