Maybe I am the only one, but when selling gear that is clothing I will always launder the garment by its prescribed washing method before packaging it up and sending it onto its next owner. When selling boots, I will always wash/clean them up the best I can of dirt and debris. Is this just not a common practice? I get the gear is used, but still....

I don’t know that it matters. If i buy used clothes I’m not going to wear them without washing. Boots will get dirty within an hour of using them.

^ I agree.

I'll add if I'm selling or buying something I do expect it to be clean though. I don't want dog crap on the bottom of some boots. Nor do I want to have to wash crusty pants. It could be fresh from the dry cleaners I'm still going to wash it though.

I don't always clean rain gear that I'm selling, but most any other type I'll clean before posting.
