I've got my 40's well within view, so young for this forum sub group, but folks who know me say I'm an "old soul" because I'm always saying weird stuff they've never heard of. To me, my sayings are pretty common. "There's more than one way to skin a cat." Seems pretty benign but the Gen Z's of the world think it's antiquated or even archaic.

What are some of your favorite colloquialisms? Give examples of usage and context. I'd like to up my game as I try to age gracefully.

After my older friend would say that, he would quickly add, "but that was before they stole the language."
And I would reply, "Yes Tom. I know what queer means."
