Considering "upgrading" from Pentax PF-80 ED. Thoughts?

I inherited a Pentax PF-80 ED with a 20-60x eyepiece (straight) spotter about 5 years ago. It's a great scope (relative to my experience with scopes) but it's just too big and heavy, and requires a heavy/solid tripod. My tripod/head/scope is like 7-8 lbs and because of this I leave it behind in camp most the time. I'm considering going to a smaller Vortex Razor angled scope with a much lighter tripod for use in the backcountry to cut weight and bulk, as well as because of the warranty (always worried about something happening to the Pentax).

I guess I'm just curious on peoples experience with these scopes relative to other scopes. Also curious what I should try and sell this thing for if I were to decide to. Do they sell, or is it going to sit there for ages? What would you do?

Thanks in advance.
