Another vote for the Larue UUK. Extremely low price for top end components. IME similar guns are 2k and up. My 556 has been excellent. It's a true 30 shot 1 moa rifle with handloads. That kit is straight robbery, I have no idea how they are making money on them at that price. Larue's machine work is second to none.
The 223 does well on coyotes with the right bullets. 65 grain and up, the more explosive the better. TMKs, ELD M, and Bergers. Avoid SMKs and Hornady BTHP.
The reason I take my AR is when I'm hunting solo is that I don't want to carry both a rifle and shotgun. If I'm hunting with a partner, one of us carries a shotgun. In that scenario, I prefer a fast 6mm or 223 bolt gun to minimize ranging errors when I'm in a hurry, and to eliminate runners when I'm not using a dog.

I use a suppressed JP Enterprises 204 at times. After 300 yds,not terminally reliable enuf for me.Tried a 243 using 70 gr BTs etc but gave it up.
If I wanted a long range,somewhat fur friendly AR,it would a 22 Nosler or 224 Valkyrie.

This is my 6.8spc ar15 I built. Aero precision upper/lower/handguard with a bison armory 18inch barrel. Its light, and shoots better than most bolt guns. I shoot factory ssa 110 accubonds 1/4moa all day. It is insane. I had no idea ars could be so accurate. I have taken deer and other creatures with it up to 300yds, and wouldn't be afraid to push it to 5-600. With the 110s it's faster and flatter than my 6.5creed 140s.

I've got 1200 in it. Cant beat that.

Near as I can tell you have at least five guns to purchase! I’ve got six builds but this guy above is going to make me build a 6.8 now. I have a couple more lowers laying around so it’d be foolish of me to not finish them.

Love my Grendel, Wylde, and Blackouts, though!

I built the 6.5 Grendel for a coyote/cougar gun. Haven’t got to shoot anything with it but really like it. Weighs right at 8lbs loaded. I don’t think I could have got it much lighter without spending bigger money. I think I got $600 into it.

I use a 223 Wylde AR I built, 18” Criterion barrel. Actually getting ready to list it In the classifieds soon, PM me if you are interested.

Nice thing about AR’s is you can easily run more than one caliber with multiple uppers, or even barrel swaps aren’t too difficult.
