Kenetreks: Great in the foot but I get heel hot spots. Not blisters. It gets irritating going up hills to the point I picked up Crispi Guides which fit better in the heel.

Crispi Guide: No heel issues at all. In that regard they have been amazing. However, I get pain in the 1st MTP head. Even if I'm wearing them around the house I can reproduce the pain. Put on the Kenetreks pain goes way STAT. I had size 9 and thought the toe box was a tad too tight. Picked up 9.5 but still have the same pain. I figure the flex point doesn't work for my foot.

My foot looks normal but it has been a POA getting a boot that just works. All the said boots seem to fit really well. SMH?

Thoughts?

Update.
Boot is not the issue.
I have Hallux Rigidus which is bone spurs on the dorsal 1st MTP head.
Crispi boot have more flex in the toe box compared to Kenetrek which is why my pain was worse with that boot.
