Hi Folks,
I have a pair of noninsulated Crispi Nevadas currently I hunt in. I have probably enough points to draw an Eastern Oregon Cow Elk tag next year with my Uncle. Temps are 0-50 degrees and 0" to 12" of snow. I have not hunted in weather like this before...will I need to step up for the cold days with the Crispi Wild Rocks? If so, 400 or 800? Looking for some advice/feedback...thanks, Josh.

I run the Nevada’s almost all the time. If I am hunting in the late seasons, such as 3rd week of October-December timeframe in a state like Colorado, I run a boot that has 800g thinsulate in them. My Nevada’s are not insulated and I’ve used them in snow but nothing of 12+inches.
They are great uninsulated for hiking but if you are sitting for a while, you will get cold. They are really waterproof which is a big pro.

Personally,
I use cabelas ultralight hunters with the 800g for those later snowy weather hunts.

If you are buying Nevada’s that are insulated, I would recommend the 800g insulation for the colder weather.
