I am looking for some opinions on boots for a 2020 mountain goat hunt. I currently have a pair of the Wild rock GTX which are a 10 inch boot which I use for elk hunting with no gaiters, I also have a pair of Thor GTX which are a 8 inch boot. I have never hunted goat in steep terrain just elk in what I would say was moderate terrain. I will be wearing gaiters for this hunt so my question is, do most people hunt the rough stuff in a 8 or 10 inch boot? Thinking the 10 inch boot is over kill with gaiter. just looking for some option, Thanks in advance

I ran the new Colorado's basically all fall including my August mountain goat hunt. They are a great boot and i was very comfortable in rugged terrain with them all fall

For me, the only Crispi stiff enough for goat is the Briksdal. I’ve tried pretty much all of the Crispi line, and really like them all but for an extreme mountain hunt, the Briksdal is the only one stiff enough for me.

I will add, my second choice would be the Colorado’s.
