I have 2 CVA Wolf muzzleloaders.
One is solid black and the other is the camo version.
Both have a 4x scope

This morning I went out and shot them in preparation for my Nebraska deer hunt in December.

I am shooting No Excuses 300gr sabots pushed by 90gr (volume) ((61gr weight)) of Pyrodex P woth Triple 7 primers.

My chrono read 1600fps for the shots

The red hole is from the black Wolf.

The blue holes are from the camo gun. New scope.
First shot then adjusted for 2nd shot.

Distance - 75yds for both guns.

I also attached the data from ShootersCalculaltor

I only shot at 50yds and got 3/4” groups. I very impressed with the accuracy. I used Barnes T-EZ 290 grain with 100gr of white hots and a federal 209A primer. I have the stainless model, I put a Leupold VariX-II 3-9x40 on.

I’m heading out there too, CVA Accura here. Been playing with the 285 ELRs and BH209 (45s). 80 grains by weight seems like the ticket but I need to fiddle around a little more. Also have a Wolf in 50 but that’s staying behind.

👍
My CVA Accura is set up strictly for Colorado - no scope, no sabots, 420gr No Excuses. It’s staying behind
