Yeah...just give the image of the thief to the Police and they'll do a facial recognition of the perp and I.D. him/her/them in 15 seconds, issue an arrest warrant in five minutes and be interrogating em in 30 minutes just like on NCIS.

We truck camp like that and never take anything in. Now we won't leave a bow or spotting scope laying out, intentionally, but even those are just in the tent. Not locked in truck. Stoves, tables, lanterns, food, coolers...all that stuff ...stays out. We take an enclosed trailer to keep gear safe from the elements, but don't lock it. Although we do put a lock on the trailer ball receiver. Never had any issues in CO or WY.
