I currently have a 26" kifaru duplex frame with a bag that I sewed.

I am looking for something a little smaller that I could use as carry-on or more every day use. I really cannot come up with a good idea on how to make an internal frame/support to help the belt work properly. The duplex has the aluminum stays, but I am thinking more of a plastic sheet material. How would you attach the belt to the bag? any ideas or photos would be great. looking for something around 2000-2500 ci.

thanks

I am actually gonna start working on something like a smaller daypack. My plan is to use a loop field on the belt which would slide under the lumbar area of the pack.

I will try to post some pics when I get some time to work on the pack.

I made a bag that works great on my mr GLF and functions decent as a standalone bag. I sewed in 2 1" loops next to each other and used kifaru straps with a slit cut in the slider to hook in to.

I sewed grosgrain loops on the inside of the bag to run shock cord through to hold the sheet frame. I used 1/16 abs plastic for the frame. It's pretty flexible but it works. Hope this helps
