You can't attach it to the Sawtooth, sorry to be the bearer of bad news. I was disappointed when I realized this. You could get some webbing and buckles and make a way for it to work since you already have the lid.

I know what they say, and I'll be glad for someone to chime in and correct me, but everything I have seen indicates that they are incorrectly adding the sawtooth to the list. There are no straps in position to accommodate the lid. Look at pictures of the Metcalf and beartooth and note how the lid attaches, then compare to the sawtooth.

I can add a lid to my sawtooth. There are two tabs, one on each side of the top of the pack, frame side. You’ll need a female buckle here. The lid attaches here and I use the excess webbing from the straps on the bottom of the pack to attach to the lid with male buckles.

I guess what was throwing me off was that I got the pack (not the lid) second hand and the previous owner had installed male buckles on the loops at the top frame side of the pack. And there were none anywhere else. Super simple once you stated that little tidbit

They said I wouldn't be able to attach the daypack hunting lid to my sawtooth because they didn't start adding the necessary loops till 2020 (when the lid came out). From what I researched, they are supposed to be by the left arrow, but I found 2 kind of hidden between the frame and bag after separating them.

Not sure the previous owner included the 2 accessory straps that are supposed to come with it to attach the bag to the bottom of the bag.

Glad I could help. A lid really expands that packs capacity.
To finally have a place for lunch that won't get crushed. That is the only downfall to my cabinet. Now, the does seem to be less room on the belt than the old GL frame

I don’t use my sawtooth much. I thought I’d really like it due to the organization it offers, but I just ended up using my crew cab because its just a much more simple pack.

Yeah, we shall see. I really like the pack, however I cannot necessarily see myself getting rid of the cabinet. It's much easier to access the shelf/ utilize it for things like my trekking polls than with the new mt frame.
