This won't pass. The taxes are horse shit, requiring licenses is not the worst idea ever.

If all gun owners stood together and got involved....legislation like this wouldn't have a chance.

The problem is the vast majority of gun owners and hunters stick their heads in the sand---"Politics....Noooo!" and let a small contingent of our ranks do the dirty work and they benefit.

If all hunters and gun owners just did a small little bit...we would blow these antis out of the water!

Anyone who reads this could take about 30 seconds to contact their representative through NRA. There is a standard message that you can just fire off, or you can customize it to your liking. @Beendare is right - if 40% of homes in the US have guns and we all let politicians know we'll vote to protect those rights, things would be a little different.

I think Hank Johnson, and his bill, are just looking out for people who happen to live on an island. If there are too many guns on one side of an island, can it cause the entire island to tip over?
