I've made my own pedestal for european mounts displayed on a table. Its not difficult. Also, a friend of mine likes to (bandsaw) cut the skull at an angle so that it sits flat on the table and the antlers are in an upright position. The cut bisects the eye socket or goes just below it. You lose the teeth and part of the nasal bones, possibly more. Its an interesting look, but make sure you plan your angles correctly the first time.
