Just picked up my first dial sight. I have the correct tape for yardage on for my field points. Shoots very accurate.

My question is when I switch to broadheads will the yardage tape need to be replaced? I am assuming I will shoot a little slower since broadheads have more drag than field points

Most will tune for same impact with broadheads and field points.

There is additional drag from a broadhead, but it generally takes a good bit of distance for it to really show. It might be that with tuning the broadhead actually hits 1/4" high at 25 yards to be same impact at 60 or 65, but I think statistically they will fall into same impact group.

I can shoot a 30 gr heavier arrow that leaves the bow 10 fps slower and it's right about 3/4" lower impact at 41 yards. I think most broadheads are aerodynamic enough that you aren't talking about them being 5 fps slower than a field point out to 75 yards. But I haven't played with that aspect too much.
