Didn't Draw - Back up Plan

Hi,

So my hunting buddies and I didn't draw what we were expecting in Wyoming this year, and are now going to do a OTC Elk hunt in Colorado instead. Currently considering Unit 55 specifically in the Fossil Ridge Wilderness, Unit 54 in the West Elk or Unit 43 in the Snowmass. Wondering if someone with experience in these areas could help us narrow down. Feel free to use PM. Not looking for anything too specific but hoping for some basic help.

Have you considered Idaho?

We have. It’s a definite option. It’s just a much longer drive to Idaho and we could get an extra day hunting if we go to Colorado.

Aren't 54 and 55 a draw?

This would be for the rifle season. They are draw for archery but otc for rifle.
