So I just picked up my first spotter, Kowa TSN-773 and have a tinesup adapter coming for my iPhone 7 Plus. I have never taken pics via a spotter and am looking for any advice or tips from you seasoned veterans. One question is how do you take the pic without touching the phone as I would think this would cause movement/distortion?

Thanks.

One of the ways is to set you camera on timer. I use a bluetooth shutter button. Bought it off Amazon for less then 10 dollars and goes everywhere I go. Small and fits in your pocket and easy to use.

Remote is the way to go. You'll drive yourself nuts trying to steady a shot and tap the button, or even worse, set a timer and the animal moves right as it snaps the pic. It's maddening lol. Same spotter I have. Great scope. If I could make a suggestion, put a good filter on the main objective, easier to replace or repair a filter than it is to fix the lens. I run a Breakthrough X4 on mine
