DIY Annex. Tyvek? Silnylon?

Considering the backlog for an annex for a Paratarp or Supertarp, I am thinking about attempting to make my own. I’m not going to mess with a stove jack for now.
I found these pics in an old thread, looks like two mirror image right triangles. Should be do-able.
Now, any possibility of making a useful annex of Tyvek? Or will it need to stretch like Silnylon?

I’m a rank amateur seamster (I think I made that word up), and have no intention of selling this.

If you wouldn’t mind shooting me a pm with those, I would greatly appreciate it. I don’t really want to flood the Internet with anything they might consider a trade secret. I really like the company and like to support them, this just seems like a fun experiment.

I think tyvek would work just fine for your needs.

Silnylon will be better,ripstopbytheroll have some nice fabric,look for a brown color or CB.

Im in the same boat with my supertarp, I want an annex but they are so backed up I’m in the market for paying someone to build me one or building my own. Obviously it would be for next season with this season upon us. I’d be interested to know how yours turns out

I ended up grabbing the real deal out of the Rhino Den at 20% off a couple of weeks ago so I scrapped this project.

Hey @Gunnersdad49, jealous you got one from the den!! I keep checking hoping I’ll get lucky too. I’m thinking at this point I may go the diy route. Mind sharing some of what you were planning with me? Dimensions, etc.
