DIY holsters also come in size long, aka ‘hand cannon.’ That’s a G40 there.

For what it's worth, I stopped sewing the barrel end of mine closed. Gives you more versatility in a single holster.

Good work

This dude is going to carry his beast G40 on his hip belt, so I didn't want him dumping his barrel in the dirt when he takes his pack off. Funnily enough my sewing machine started acting up when it was time to sew the barrel end shut. It seems if there is too much upward pressure on the presser foot she locks up when the needle is buried. Maybe just needs some oil?

My guess it is just pushing the limits of the machine and causing issues. I'm impressed by what you are getting out of it. I also started on a Montgomery ward machine. Time for you to upgrade! I've been seeing several industrial machines on marketplace in the $300 range. Some even cheaper.

I have no idea what I’m looking at on Marketplace. I’m a buyer, just don’t know what to buy.

In the event you’re bored, feel free to peruse for zip 66215 + 100 miles.

A few from a quick search. That juki ddl552 is just the head. No table or motor. Could pick those up for about $150ish. But it does not have reverse. I had the same machine and used it for years. I actually gave it away to a member on here.

None of these are walking foot.

I can't tell much about the 2nd one. I think it might be a 201. Price is definitely right.

The brother looks like a solid unit. Good price. You'd want to swap that clutch motor for a servo. Price is good. I'd offer 300. But not a walking foot.

I see this can be converted to walking foot.
Ha! I pulled up the same machine and liked it. I'm not familiar with the machine or any ability to convert it.

@dosperros thanks for the inspiration. I have a bunch of scraps of multicam that I got from a member here. Drew up patterns for all my pistols. Eventually realized they can be pretty generic. Marsupial only makes 2 different ones to cover almost all pistols. I used some thin craft foam for structure and padding. I lined it with some green cordura that I have a bunch of from the same guy. I copied all of the features that Marsupial uses. Their design is well thought out.

I’m gonna have to copy you guys now. This is a perfect idea for my FHF harness and I am gonna make a couple for different pistols. I have stolen @WoodBow ‘s designs from another site before I think, so this is just business as usual for me

I have stepped up my holster game. I’m now designing in SolidWorks, exporting vector files, and cutting material on a laser machine.

Just finished up one for my new G20 with light.

Did you buy the laser just for sewing projects? Cost?
