Just wanted to jump on and give a quick plug for the Gossamer Gear Thinlight Foam Pad. I've had this thing for over a year and it is ridiculously useful. First of all, it's not breaking the bank at 22 bucks. I can easily spend more than that on lunch headed for trailhead. I primarily use it under my Nemo Tensor sleep pad to keep my pad from sliding all over the bottom of the tent. This thing weighs almost nothing and is super thin. However, when folded up it makes a great sit pad, saves your knees around camp or when glassing and (back to that price tag) is cheap enough that I wouldn't feel bad cutting it up into pieces if I needed to do that. It's closed cell foam so water getting through isn't an issue either. When I bought this it seemed a little superfluous but I'd hate to go out without it now. Happy hunting!
