I'd forgotten about the fishing!

That's really annoying to be honest. I can't even fish from the shore of privately owned property, let alone out of a boat.

However, there is nothing preventing someone from driving around in a boat, as long as they aren't fishing...

My wife just had a baby. So I don’t see any turkey hunting for us this spring. Unless one wonders through our back yard again. She FaceTimed me at work the other day. 5 walking through our yard. The hoa may not approve. But ya know...

With fishing closed here in WA I'll be surprised if they will open the spot prawn season in May. Also halibut and ling.

I wonder if we could get a spring bear season open in Colorado in the next couple of weeks...

Bummed about the Gunnison County public lands closure, but I understand it. All the front range people are flooding the high country (where my mom lives) and that is the opposite of what is trying to be accomplished here. My beef is that I want to turkey hunt in the neighboring county that I live within a mile of the border of. But if this stands I'm sure other counties will follow suit and I'll be shit outta luck.

Yea, Id say take this oppurtunity to explore your own backyards. Maybe find a creek to fish or a little unknown piece to drum up a turkey on. Crossing state lines is going to be tough unless you can plan on a two week quarantine before you come.

Canceled my daughter and my turkey hunting trip. We stay in state but supposed to stay close to your community and we hunt 5 hrs south of where we live.

Our Governor here in Washington just extended our "stay at home" order through May 4th. It was supposed to end next week...

I’m a much more of an ask for forgiveness type. I’d drive 4 or 5 hours and go hunting... I haven’t seen where anyone is getting thrown in jail yet for being out of the house.

In state, not too worried as nothing has come down from F&W yet. Out of state I can foresee a problem as states try to limit an influx of people.

With a few tigers at a New York zoo testing positive and pets getting it, there may be more ramifications coming down the line.

After listening to the latest speech from the president, I feel like walls in each state will be going up and we will be sitting on the side lines! Its like each state is it's own little country right now.

it's always been like each state is its own little country. you live in one country but are considered a 'non resident' depending on where you are. WTH is that? canada isn't much better.

over here each state might have its own different regs relating to hunting and fishing but they apply equally to everyone regardless of which state your from. buying a victorian game hunting licence has the same cost and availability to a victorian as is does to a queenslander. a queensland stocked impoundment fishing permit has the same cost and availability to me as a queenslander as it does to a victorian. that's more like one country.

if you think logically about the name 'United States of America' it tends to suggest that it is a union of smaller countries or republics not unlike the former USSR or 'Union of Soviet Socialist Republics'.

it's not a name whose etymology suggests the name derives from something significant about it's geography or 'the land of......'. it means it is a union of DIFFERENT states/colonies/countries.

Still undecided about our spring turkey hunt in NM. I apply for deer and elk, so the license is already paid for....just have to buy the tags every year. Not sure what the travel restrictions are at the moment though. Season opens in about 10 days...ugggg

I purchased my bear tag in Idaho prior to April 4th. From what i understand I am still able to hunt it. I was hoping to backpack in for a week in the backcountry. I’ll see what happens but fingers crossed I can still go mid May.
