Have any of you tried using turkey decoys for whitetail? Or have you tried some light calling from your stand ? The deer get pretty jumpy around here,so I've been playing around with the calling part. I was thinking that this might calm em down a little. Maybe I'm an idiot, but I'm gonna use some decoys this weekend. Any thoughts?

I have not used my turkey decoys for deer but it does make extreme sense and have thought of it before, just never done it. Deer are always more calm in the presence of turkeys.

I have used them for the last few years. Not only does it calm the deer it also covers some of my small movements. I place my hens (3 ) about 15 yards out form me , between me and where I expect the deer to come out. If I shift a little and a deer catches the movement they don't seem to stare long and don't keep rechecking.
