I searched and found conflicting or ambiguous info. I see that tikka has a different part number for a 6.5cm mag than for the 308-family mags. However, I've found numerous references suggesting they are the same, or at least interchangeable. It appears the 6.5 mags work for 308 and allow a slightly longer cartridge length. Question is whether the standard 308 mags will properly feed with factory-loaded 6.5cm ammo/rifle?

The 308 magazine is an M mag, the ones from a 6.5 are M+. You can swap them back and forth but the M+ let’s you use longer overall cartridge length.

The standard M will feed a 6.5 creedmoore cartridge as long as the nose of the bullet dosent hang up on the magazine.

Years ago I had a pile of Ms for my 6.5 creedmoor and I had problems with lots of different factory Ammo. I sold them for M+ mags.
