As a local I’m fairly familiar with 61 and love taking the family up there to hike or play in Big Creek. Last year I blew a few points on a 1st season cow tag and had a beautiful and successful hunt up Mesa Creek.

I drew a 4th season cow tag for this fall (Thanksgiving week) and am wondering what elevation they are likely to be at. I realize that is snow dependent to some degree but any general experience would be helpful as I haven’t spent any time up there that late in the fall.

Thanks in advance for any advice, the kids and wife love the elk meat.
