Headed up to Anchorage to guide for bear and moose again this fall. A buddy is wanting to tag along and do a day of fishing before the hunt.

Looking for a guide to float a river for the day. Was thinking kenai river, coopers landing area. Or maybe head a different direction?

Any good suggestions?

Thanks guys!

Specifically in a drift boat the kenai or kasilof would probably your best bet. Couple other options would be head north to deshka or the talkeetna area.

Yup. Like said above. Upper and middle Kenai or head down the peninsula further for the Kasilof

Any experience with specific guide services? I'm sure most are fine...I like to get a guide once or twice a year for fishing or hunting.

I'd be fine with the Kenai area.

Can also pm me..

Thanks

Ok
Went with Troutfitters prior to my moose hunt. Had a great day on the Kenai.

You might try Laine Lahndt. I hunted sheep with him 15+ years ago on the Kenai (never fished with him), but fishing was his primary focus. Salt of the earth guy - honest as they come and grew up there so knows the fishing as well as anyone. Good luck.
