Wondering if time is not a problem would you drive to central utah the first week of October for an elk hunt or fly from New England. If successful ,the best way to get our meat back.
We drove twice this year to western Colorado from New Jersey. It’s a drive in about the same amount of money with hotels and fuel but it’s great to have everything you need just in case. You can bring extra gear extra boots extra rifles etc. two coolers flash frozen meat from the processor after your hunt it’ll last more than enough time to get you home

If time isn't an issue, I'd drive for sure. I hate being on other peoples schedule. I drive 27 hours to our destination and enjoy the scenery compared to the flatlands here in IL. Nothing better than coming out of the mountains, staying in a hotel that first night or two out, and having a big steak and lots of beer and Tanqueray.

What’s the best way to get the rack home if you fly?
