Driving to Dease Lake

Well me and the boy are headed on a moose hunt and flying out of Dease Lake BC. Anyone that has been to Smithers or Dease lake have any recommendations on things to see along the way or place to sleep. We are headed from Washington State.

Take some time to look for and photograph the California Bighorn Sheep along the Thompson River ......

I've driven it a couple of times and always found northern BC to be one of the cleanest places with gobs of critters. We stopped several times and glassed bears and sheep on random hills.

Still one of my favorite drives.

I did this drive last year. I was too excited on the way up to notice much but on the way back I saw almost 30 black bears along the roadside.
