I have an older pack- DT3- and was considering a guide lid for added capacity. Anyone have this combo? The guide lids add 1200 ci but am I better served with pockets for more capacity? If I add pockets and a guide lid will the pack be to cumbersome?

Thanks

Yup, works great. I typically store puffy/windshirt/hat/gloves/etc. in the guide lid for easy on/off access. Would certainly recommend, if you're set on sticking with the DT3 and need more room.

Thanks Nick. Yea the DT3 fills a niche for me. I have an Argali and a few day packs so the DT3 is pretty much right in the middle. Thinking with a guide lid I could do 3 maybe 4 days in mild weather

Yes, I have a guide lid on my DT-3, works great, take the lid off, go up the tree with me, also use it on my Late Season.
