Born and raised in Durango, but live on the front range now...

Lived there for 8 of the last 10 years. Hold onto to your pants when you try to buy anything to live in around there.

Great place to live, but getting too crowded for me. I'd move back though.

Ain't that the truth. Even if you go the trailer park route, people want $700 a month to park the damn thing. I've also seen 220 sf efficiencies downtown with a "kitchen" that consists of a dorm fridge and an electric hot plate go for close to a $1000 a month and, if you rent a place, people want like $4,000 in deposits
