Just putting it out there

Looking for someone to build me a custom dyneema pack to slap on a kifaru ultralight frame....standard drybag design with stretch pockets...looking for 3k & 6k cubic inch packs

My next option is to cannibalize a 300$ hiking pack so shoot me a pm if this is a project your interested in.

Thanks

IDK if this is anything that you'd be interested in or not, but several years ago I bought a Zpacks Airplane bag, took it to a local tent manufacture and had modified with straps sewn on it to mimic a Stone Glacier bag. My son used it for his pack on his first sheep hunt and it worked out great. It only cost $65 for the bag and the shop didn't charge me for the work because I've had a fair amount of work done there and it wasn't a big deal for them (took them about 30 min. to complete). So, in the end, I had a roll top drybag that was about the same size as a 5900 ci bag, only weighed a hair over 4 oz. and cost about $75 with shipping and some DCF tape to go over all the stitching and maintain its waterproofness.

I have a few zpack bag liners that I could toss in a load sling, but I really want the stretch pockets on the side and front

The idea is to shave some weight for areas brush isnt an issue on summer/winter scouting trips.....I run an exo 6400 on the kifaru frame and I enjoy the design alot...its pretty much the same design as majority of ul hiking packs and for good reason..idk what ever I can do to justify packing a btx 115 😂

The PBD trailpack60 is the pack I might buy as it's designed already to attach to a hard frame so has all the attachment points needed....but it sure seems like a waist to get a full pack and destroy it just for the bag

Aww Zimmer built....I knew I was missing one

I got the pbd bag and it nearly fits perfect...I need a small loop adjustment but it basically bolts right on....decent lay out so far but going to spend some time with it....kinda cool to shave that much weight off...feel like I'm packing my spotter for free now

Were you able to get just the bag or did you have to order the whole deal?

Hey Elkangle
This is a very interesting idea. Any chance you could share some photos of the setup and how it attaches? Thanks-Rufus

Will do, once I get it set il get some pics up...I think realistically contacting the Zimmer built fella about 8 months in advance would be the best option but with some very small modifications this will work just fine 🙂

Haven't spent much time on this project but this is what I got so far...need one for sure tab loop sewn on..haven't committed so haven't cut the shoulder straps off the PBD pack yet

Getting the btx 115 soon so will need to reconfigure...thinking I'd like to direct mount the marsupial case to the frame and then have this bag over the top...just brain storming..

It's really hard to beat the exo 6400 set up
