Colorado archery opening day (9/2) at 9,000’-10000’ What setup should I use?

I have an xtherm and Western Mountaineering Versalite (10*) which has served me well in early November down to 0* Am I going to be sweating my balls off using that system in September?

Get a new lower R value pad or a lighter bag or both? Or just run the current system? Thinking maybe a 30* bag is in order...

I freeze in a 30 degree bag even in the summer. Lows have been in the 30's in places such as Leadville at 10,200 feet and Creede recently.......in July.

You can always sleep under it, or, spend the money to get another bag. I’d sleep under it until you get a handle on Colorado.

Can still get mighty cold in September over 10,000 feet at night.
2 years ago it was like 90 during the day then one night our water froze solid and then 90 again the next day.

My go-to in September between 9k and 13k feet is a Versalite with the 3oz overfill inside a Bibler Hoop Bivy. If it’s hot, I unzip and occasionally pull the bag out of the bivy or sleep on top of the bag inside the bivy. I run pretty hot, but I don’t cook with this setup very often.
