After 16 days into my 17 day hunt I was able to harvest this nice 6x7 bull in Eastern Oregon. Many miles hicking around chasing elk and several close calls one finally worked out. I positioned myself between two buggeling bulls. As I watched this bull and his few cows work my direction the wind shifted and was blowing right at them at 60 yds they stopped knowing something wasnt right. I was thankful I had put another set of sitka on that morning along with a sponge shower the night before. The elk continued and I drew my bow cow calling at 40 yards the bull stopped broad side and I shot him through the chest a little far back but did get one lung the diaphram and through the liver. He went about 150 yds and died, making this my third 6x7 second biggest and 6 straight tags filled. Im very blessed to be able to spend my time in Gods country chassing elk.

Well done!

I have lots of great memories from summers packing in from the Eagle Cap Pack Station.
