I have a question about some arrows I recently purchased. I noticed that the field points that I have (they are supposed to be the correct diameter) are wider than the diameter of the arrow shaft. I initially chalked it up to cheap field points but my broad heads, Vipertricks & Trypans, are both wider by a little. I purchased some Easton BAR and the BAR fit perfectly on the arrow but are wider than the diameter of the broad heads and field points. My question is, should I worry about the little difference between diameters of arrow shaft and tips? Is there something else that I could try to try and keep everything as smooth as possible?

Get the right Fps. With that overhang it makes them heard to remove from a target and it also tears up targets.

Yeah it will be a bitch to pull from a bag target. Broadheads are fine tho.

The packaging on the FP said they are 9/32 but I'm thinking that they are just some cheap ones that probably aren't true to specs.

I do have some on order but I'm just a little tired of having to purchase something to "test" it out to see if it fits.

I bought: Saunders Combo Points 17/64 100 Grain for my Easton Axis 340s.

Despite Easton's chart, they fit better for bag targets than the 9/32 RPS field points I was using. I also like them because they are longer than a typical field point, which in my mind will make them balance even closer to the Rage Trypans.

So a little update. I ended up having to buy 17/64 field points. They fit flush with the arrow shafts but anything else was too big.
