Brother in law was looking for something that kicked less than his lightweight 30-06. Plus he wanted to eventually chop it and wanted some ideas. It was refreshing to pass on advice and have someone actually follow through lol.

Asked if I thought he should chop it now and told him to wait for suppressor arrival. He just got in the SWFA and mounted it himself. Started out a bit wonky and wasn't sure what was going on. I adjusted his windage turret and it would click a few times then spin freely. Loosened up all 3 screws, pushed it on harder and retightened. That fixed that.
Got him zeroed at 100. Then he shot a 2.5" group at 200 and a 3.5" group at 300 using JBM ballistics and drop calculator. This is a guy who hasn't shot a rifle in a year or more. Pretty much an easy button for a big game rig.
