Dont know anything about that pack. The Kuiu Ventures are similar size, and a good day pack.

Here we go, as promised. Received today, here are some pics and first impressions. I’m planning to use this for saddle hunting whitetail in the Midwest and as a daypack for Elk hunting CO when operating from a base camp.

No details on actual capacity but it seems to be around 2000ci

Great padding on back, straps, and waistband.

String sturdy tubular frame. (Pic)

Minimal pockets, but usable.

Hydration compatibility, I read on their website that ppl were irritated that it didn’t have an internal hydration pouch, maybe they changed it, there are 2, one on each side and they have clasps to hold your bladder. (Pic)

Side pockets are deep, easily hold a Nalgene bottle. (Pic)

Drawstring top load or zip down front pocket to access main compartment. Nice sized top cover with zip pocket.

This should easily haul a saddle platform and stick and provide adequate space for a day’s worth of gear (food, layering clothes, etc.). It has some molle style webbing to secure addition gear as needed.

So far the only 2 downsides I see are a lack of adjustability in the strap height to accommodate a long torso. I’m 6’3”, 200lbs, it fits well and seems to place the bulk of the weight at the hips where it should be so it’s not a big deal. It also doesn’t come with waist pouches, kind of annoying, but oh well, I’ll find some somewhere as this is where I like to keep small items like a headlamp, snacks, calls, etc.

I ended up giving the pack to my nephew, he loves it and desperately needed it. I thought to myself how much pack do I need considering most of my hunts are day hunts. I ended up getting a 3V Gear Paratus Three Day Assault Pack. The first time I put it on I loved it. I have a very short torso for someone 5'10" and this thing is just perfect. I loaded it up with all of my gear, took if out for a 5 mile jaunt and am satisfied. Will it haul quarters nope but I am in the process of building a single wheel cart for that purpose, and no I don't hunt wilderness area so I am good.
