Electric Bear Fence for Tent

I do about 99% of all my hunting, and camping in AK, and although I’m always in areas with bears, both brown and black, I pretty much only use a fence on Kodiak. I haves used them in other parts of the state, but that was only because I have them, and wt. wasn’t a consideration.

I've heard this several times about Kodiak, is there a specific reason?

This is with everything that you see on the website plus 3 sets of AA batteries, guy lines and stakes to guy and stake the 4 poles out.

How many guy lines and stakes do you recommend? What material are you using for the guys and which stakes?

My fence only has 4 poles, so I only bring 4 mini MSR stakes and 4 pieces of paracord about 4-5' long. I have a loop tied on each end of the paracord and loop one end over the top of the pole, then stake out the other loop.

The only reason for me is that I usually encounter many more bears on Kodiak than anywhere else I hunt, and I've had problems with bears there as well.

Dont know if its better but Smith River sells a net version of one set up on fleabay .
