Electronic gimbal

This may be way out there. Has anyone here put binos or spotter on a handheld electronic gimbal, like a DJI Ronin or somerhing similar? For distance scouting with optics focused to infinity, a handheld would allow easy and jitterless panning, changing direction. The weight is similar to a tripod. Battery life seems good enough for a few days afield. I’m thinking I would attach a smartphone to the spotter & have a monitor. Granted, you can’t shoot off of one.
