so my archery tag in Utah's extended area goes until december 15th for either sex elk, and my late season any weapon cow tag is for much of the same area......I decide to go take the rifle out to where I usually see cows, and all I find are two lone bulls (in places I actually would have considered stalkable) and 8 moose.

this pic is through my binoculars an hour and a half into my hike about 200 to 300 yards away, I was tempted to hike out and drive home to get my bow....kept going positive I would find cows and of course never did, I think the snow was too deep.

now I am going out monday and debating if I should hope he is in the same area and take the bow, or go look somewhere else for some cows! I need to carry my rifle and bow, so I don't make the wrong choice lol.

Yup, I would have both of my weapons in my vehicle. Not sure what Utah's rules are on hauling two weapons.
