I purchased a Match Grade Machine muzzleloader PISTOL barrel chambered in 45 caliber on a whim a while back and would like to hunt deer with it this ML season. When I contacted MGM this is the response I got:
"I'm sorry but I do not have any load data for the pistol muzzleloader. We had requests to make them so we did. We just have not had the time to go out and test them."
So can anybody help me out here with a possible load to start with? I know I want to use Blackhorn (which I have plenty of), 209 primers and numerous 45 caliber PowerBelts and saboted bullets (Barnes, Hornady, TC) to try. My main concern is the Blackhorn load by volume to start with. The barrel is 15 inches long and has since been scoped after the picture below was taken. Thanks for any help!
