Good video, easy to digest!
For the mrad guys in the house, you can use a yard stick.
10mils UP @ 100yds = exactly 36"
Split the difference, 5mils = 18"
Using a yard stick & level makes setting the marks a piece o' cake.
I usually do a quick test with 5 shots
1@ Zero
1@ 5.0mils UP
1@ 10.0 mils UP
1 back down @ 5.0mils UP
last one back down @ ZERO
Then, put 5mils UP and 3mils LEFT on the scope & shoot
And come across the board with 3mils RIGHT
Same for 10mils up, 3 LEFT and 3 RIGHT
Even though I don't often use the windage turret, I still wanna know it works.
9 shots isn't too much to waste for peace of mind in your riflescope!!!
A 10 mil UP correction translates to the ~12-1300yd dope for most of my rifles, so I figure that's plenty adequate for testing purposes
Thanks for taking the time to share the video! Hope it motivates everyone to test their scopes as standard practice...
