Ethics/Iron Will footer length

Hey guys looking at footer/collar selection for a new set of arrows and wondering if anyone can comment on the depth of the footer for Ethics and IW, the shafts will be .204” and I am curious as to how much of the shafts will be supported by the footers. I will likely be using 100gr HIT inserts as well to help stiffen up the impact area.

Iron will hit insert.

.204 HIT Insert Lengths:

15 grain = .86” (titanium)

25 grain = .82” (stainless steel)

50 grain = 1.07” (stainless steel)

75 grain = 1.47” (stainless steel)

100 grain = 1.87” (stainless steel)


The collars are 1" for 25 grain and .7" for 10 grain.

Anyone have an idea On the ethics length? Have tried calling them several times this week with no answer or call back.

I cant remember off the top of my head when i measured, but on my VAP's i think it covers up just over half an inch on the outside of the shaft
