Euro mount on a DIY pedestal

Found this spike elk dead head about a month ago, boiled it and cleaned it off and whitened it thanks to @BRTreedogs He sent me some Clairol basic white, free, that I could mix with some volume 40.

Out of boredom I decided to make a little table pedestal out of scrap wood in the garage. I think it turned out good. Threw it on the chest in my man cave.

May just be the lighting, but if u put some more volume 40 on it and put in the sun a couple days, it would probably whiten It up a little more. You’ll notice those yellow spots get darker over time.

I may try that because it didn’t whiten as much using the cream. Normally I add volume 40 liquid into the water and boil. But because I need so much of it to get the 4 to 1 ratio due to the size of the pot I used for an elk I tried it with the cream.

Super rad! I've done something similar with an old Osage fence post but yours looks cleaner.

Looks awesome! Dead heads are super tough to get completely white with all the oils that have dried in the skull. I dig the pedestal too!

well I haven't seen anyone do this so I hope I can help people out

that is a 4x4 post with steel piping...you can level it due to screwing/unscrewing feet.

3/8 bolt with washer and about 4 wraps of twine, you can rotate the knot so it's hidden in the brain cavity.

those are 4" pieces of pipe on 3 sides, the long one is 12" and it is sturdy.

all pipe is 3/4 but 1/2 would be fine

I think I self-scored this bull at around 277? but I have never done it before (its the one in my avatar) for an idea of the size
